Servo System of Oxygen Lance

Oxygen Lance is the key equipment of converter due to its complicated operation process and movement as well as high requirement of repetitive positioning. Therefore, to be safe, reliable, stable and accurate repetitive positioning are the prerequisites for lance elevating & transverse system to ensure the safety and efficiency of converter smelting. Our company is the only manufacture in China who can produce and supply the whole lance elevating & transverse system from oxygen lance and lance hose.

The elevating & transverse system for converter oxygen lance is the key equipment to blow oxygen and nitrogen into the converter during smelting. Its entire structure is composed of: elevating cart,transverse device, guide device, position device, safety protection device and PLC control etc.

The oxygen lance is installed and fixed on the elevating cart which will drive the lance to take up-down and speed-variable movement. The speed and height position of the elevating cart is auto controlled by PLC and is interlocked with the converter and valve station. Each converter is equipped with two sets of elevating & transverse devices, one backup while another is working.

The lance elevating cart is composed of cart body, directive wheel, pulley block, fall prevention device and lubrication pipes. The hoist and transverse device are the core parts of the system, they are composed of winch device, movable guiding rail, transverse cart device, mechanical sensor for hoisting cable and the glycerine lubricating system. The positioning device is an auxiliary equipment to adjust and lock the working position of lance elevating & transverse devices. The safety protection device includes fall prevention and accident lance lifting devices. There are two accident lance lifting ways: lifted by compressed air motor or by standby power (UPS).
